Health Day

Health Day

World Health Day is an annual event celebrated on April 7th, established by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1950 to raise awareness about important global health issues.

Each year, the day highlights a specific theme that addresses a critical area of public health, encouraging individuals, communities, and governments worldwide to take action.

The aim of World Health Day is to promote healthy living, improve health systems, and bring attention to global health challenges in an effort to improve the overall well-being of people around the world.

As part of the « Be Energetic » project, each participating country organized a special event to celebrate World Health Day on April 7th. These events were designed to raise awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, aligning with the goals of the project.

Students at Lycée Louis Jouvet have produced a poster campaign in their school to raise awareness of the importance of staying healthy.

Their work focused on the project’s themes: sport, nutrition and mental well-being.

Health Day activity

On this day the school has invited the volunteers from the voluntary ambulance service to teach students few notions about first aid. Students learned about the basic rules in giving first aid in case of an accident.

They have practised the steps in giving the first aid in case of an accident until the ambulance would arrive.

They enjoyed the activity and they all wanted to practise with the dummy.

A charity bazaar was held in the school with the support of parents. All students, teachers and parents tasted these healthy foods.

The 2-year work of our project was introduced to student parents by our erasmus students and teachers.

We had a fun and HEALTHY day with our traditional music and dances.
